  • The ranch is located between Robert Lee and Bronte, and is access by a caliche surface county road. From San Angelo you take US Hwy 277 to Bronte, then turn left on Hwy 158. From Bronte you will go approximately 4.2 miles and turn left on Double Barrel Rd. The property will be straight ahead for 1.3 miles. The road will dead end into the gate of the ranch.

  • This ranch is well suited for both the hunter and the rancher. The ranch has 1.3 miles of frontage along the Colorado River which makes up the southern boundary of the ranch. Cow Creek also traverses the ranch from north to south for approximately 2 miles. The ranch has scattered live oak tree, mesquite, cedar and other native brush. The property has had brush work in the past and has good balance of open grass land and brush cover.
  • The terrain is hilly to rolling in nature. There are some great view of the river from some elevated hill tops on the ranch. The river has some high bluff vantage points, but is also very accessible in some areas.
  • The ranch is watered by four primary surface ponds and some smaller ponds. The four main ponds typically hold water year round, and water livestock and wildlife on the ranch. The main house has rain water collection system with approximately 24,000 gallons of storage. During normal rain fall the Colorado River and Cow Creek have several watering holes up and down the river bed and creek bed. There are five water wells drilled on the ranch. These wells are not operational and are cap and cased wells. The owner indicated the water was not very good quality and they have not used the wells.
